~4K words for me. Actually, that is the count from yesterday and today - as in, I stayed up until 3 am to do it :) However, I finally got to THE END on my novella... yay!
Awesome! I finished revising the first chapter of a book I need to have done by the 15th and sent it off to my agent, and now I have to add some stuff to that today and try and revise chapter 2, possibly more. There's 17 chapters so I'm going to have to move quickly to be done in time to write a new novella by the end of the month as well!
Got 2700 words added, and edited all but the last 20 pages. If things continue as they are, I'll finish the revisions by the weekend, and be just about submission ready!
Still need to add one more fairly vanilla-ish, emotional love scene, should be able to do that tomorrow, and that will put me over 70K, which is about where I plan to finish up with the total wc on this one.
Watching the Twitter hastag and see everyone is doing so great!!
530 words done today. After trying to write at B&N I had to run some errands for DH's birthday tomorrow. Now I'm just beat. Had left off just starting a love scene & can't get back into it. Need sleep! Will have to do what I can Wed - Fri and play catch up on the weekend.
I have found, after 20 years, that just plowing ahead is the way to go. Once it's down, you can always go back and fix - I used to stop to revise and edit as I went and it took me forever to finish. With the full steam method, it's done and ready to edit in about a month and so much easier (and more fun) to work with.
yes, you can count whatever you want. Total word count for blog posts, synopses, WIP, etc, just a specific WIP, whatever.
Since I have a major revision to do for one of my dream pubs, I'm spending the first part of the month revising and won't be counting words. I'm being flexible, LOL

1423 today for total of 2803. I have no intention of looking back at the work. Just full steam ahead until I reach goal.
ReplyDelete@KL/LE Super word count!

Just jumping in. 2558 today.
ReplyDeleteMy count for yesterday was just shy of 1100 again. Hoping for a little more today, but we'll see how it goes with company being here.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Heather, but that is on my query and synopsis. Everything counts, right?
